Doris With Milo

Since spring is a great time to think about getting a puppy (and smoothing out some of the ruff edges on beloved older pups!) we decided to visit with Doris Canose at So Doggone Good Doggie Daycare here in Sandwich (sodoggonegood.com).  Doris really understands and loves dogs! And I could see that they love her too as one tail-wagging pup after another came to spend the day as we talked.

When I asked her which books she recommends, she answered without hesitation the following books:

How to Raise the Perfect Dog: Through Puppyhood and Beyond by Cesar Millan – or any of Cesar Millan’s books on dog care and training – as well as The Art of Raising a Puppy by the Monks of Skete. She also loves to read novels about dogs (go figure!) and raved about The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein and Dog On It by Cape Cod author Spencer Quinn.
