March Madness!!!
We can’t believe how many great events are happening this month.
We begin with a book talk and signing with Deborah Scroggins. Deborah is an award winning journalist and is the author of Wanted Women: Faith, Lies and the War on Terror: The Lives of Ayaan Hirsi Ali & Aafia Siddiqui. As a part of the President Lecture Series she will be speaking on Wednesday, March 21st at 7PM at Cape Cod Community College.
In Wanted Women, an award-winning journalist tells the story of two extraordinary women catapulted to fame by the War on Terror, offering a compelling look at the link between Muslim women’s rights, Islamic opposition to the West, and the radical jihadist movement.
Next, we have IFAW’s Jeff Flocken coming to Titcomb’s for a book signing. His new book, Wildlife Heroes: 40 Leading Conservationists and the Animals They Are Committed to Saving, is a visual and written window into the world of 40 conservationists, the fascinating species they work to save and the issues that threaten their future. The book’s stunning photos capture the beauty of the animals and the magnetism of the heroes as they work in the often grueling conditions where the animals live.
Jeff Flocken is DC Office Director for the International Fund for Animal Welfare, where he leads the organization’s policy experts advocating for animals such as polar bears, lions, whales, tigers, and elephants. Flocken has worked for the US government doing international species conservation; has been a consultant on movies, books, and television shows addressing wildlife issues; and is the confounder of the Emerging Wildlife Conservation Leaders initiative, providing training for up-and-coming wildlife leaders.
Jeff will be at Titcomb’s Bookshop on Saturday, March 24th between 2 and 3:30pm. Don’t miss the opportunity to meet this author!

Ann Vanderhoof and her husband leave Canada to set sail around the Caribbean. They discover their love of Caribbean spices and local food at each island stop along their way including enjoying some moonshine straight out of hidden back-country stills. This story envelopes you in the warmth of the sun and the smell of the foods prepared in their sailboat’s galley.
